Oblivion: Can't change hairstyles

As the title says, in the character creation menu, I am unable to change the hairstyles of most custom races. Does anyone know why it's happening and what I can do about it? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you doing it at the 1st character creation spot or the one at the exit to the sewers. Sometimes the 1st spot wigs out on you.

I've downloaded every mod that says you can change hair styles with it--and I've never been successful.

Neither, I'm using the Alternate Start mod, but even in the sewers I can't change hairstyles.

Really, that is certainly strange. I use an alternate start plugin myself and it works....

It really makes things pretty simple and easy to follow.

When the race is decided, it is likely to be able to select it when the character making is ended once in the state, and it enters the screen of the race change again in the race.

I've come across this. A custom race defined to have (default) eyes or hair that were missing was the culprit. Check your custom races in the CS or Tes4Edit.

Here's a fix that might help you until you'll fix things: Make your char (nvm the hair) and then,in-game,do this: Open the console and type showracemenu (don't close the console after that),change the hair and then DONT press "done",instead press escape,save in a new save file and then load the new save.

Most of the time this works,it does for me now that i have this problem after downloading Ploms orc overhaul (don't know much about bashing either plus it scares me lol).
