BOSS wrong load order

BOSS recognizes x117race.esm but insists on loading it before beautiful people 2ch-ed.esm

When I try to make a bashed patch an error with delinquent master shows up and I think it's because x117race is not below beautiful people 2ch-ed.esm I know I can manually move, but i need to use boss alot and everytime I run BOSS it'ls just gonna move it back again. Is there some way I can correct BOSS and tell it how x117race.esm should be arranged?

You can put a file named userlist.txt in your Oblivion's BOSS folder, with:

OVERRIDE: x117race.esm

AFTER: Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm

Re-run BOSS, and that should do it.

(But you might have an outdated masterlist.txt file, as the latest one contains the correct order here?)

BOSS says that the masterlist is the latest version after it checked, and I did not untick "update masterlist" in the GUI.

I edited the userlist and it worked, tyvm!

I think BOSS just messes around with people on purpose. There's a 99% chance (I'm being conservative here...) that if your new mod is unknown - and you are an unknown modder, your mod is going to be auto-dumped to "below Bashed Patch land". Unless you are Maskar or Krista (OOPS!) your mod is never, ever going to be included in any relevant load list. Seriously, if BOSS wasn't useless it would at least give a general idea of where to place Lover's with PK.

I joined this site in January - give or take? BOSS does not recognize most mods I downloaded prior to that date - and very few that I downloaded AFTER that date.

Dear BOSS Lords and Minions: Can you not find a place for Lover's Hooker (sorry, Gabriael...)? Its not a new file. You hypocritical ***** should have been able to find it a place by now. What about Lovers with PK 91? I'm running 93 - and I'm behind the times. You think BOSS would know where to stick an old file like that.

Keep your eyes closed, suck each other dicks, and kiss Nexus ass. There is a perfectly functioning load order available here. Grow a spine, eat some meat, and use it. It actually works - unlike the random shit that BOSS coughs out.

So, I download a mod from LL or the Nexus, and all I get from BOSS is "unknown, unknown, unknown..." The new mods that BOSS DOES randomly recognize are often stuck in the wrong place.

You can use a constantly changing masterlist to control your load order, or just set Wrye Bash up to disallow date changes. My game works fine. I run BOSS, and Wrye Bash pops a window telling me "Modified Dates Reset". BOSS knows that the mods I'm running have been around for years. They conciously choose to ignore them. That makes BOSS useless.

And submitting mods to BOSS is useless, unless you have a massive fanbase on the Nexus. Ask PerfectionCat where his mods show up in the BOSS list. They don't? Wow.

I don't even run BOSS anymore. I can generally tell where to place a mod by what it does. If I DO run BOSS for new mods, it usually sticks them in the unrecognized category at the bottom of my load order.

Useless, except on a new install.

Re-install Oblivion. Run BOSS and sort your Nexus fanboy mods. Delete BOSS. BOSS has about as much to do with Lovers With PK as I have to do with Greece's economic recovery. Once you get sorted on your mainstream mods, BOSS is completely useless.

Yeah, unknown mods are placed last in the load order.

Unless you are Maskar or Krista (OOPS!) your mod is never' date=' ever going to be included in any relevant load list. Seriously, if BOSS wasn't useless it would at least give a general idea of where to place Lover's with PK.
