"What mod is this?" Thread

Looks very much like this body type, the 'New Manga Body' by Fankaizhi, based on DMRA.

Thorazine has excellent comparison pictures in this thread(post#6): http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=5416

I hijacked the pics to repost them here. See for yourself:

exactly it's the Fankaizhi manga body, I was asking because the boobs on the elf looked bigger and if there was a version I wasn't aware of.

They probably look bigger thanks to the perspective, because they're so close you can almost smell them...

The boobs distracted me from your request, Soultitan! The dress is Hentai's 'RingRing' outfit, in this case edited with custom gloves.

It's part of this collection mod: http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=22990 - Lots of other cool Hentai stuff in there, too!

The irritating problem with all these bodies is you cant mix and match nor do any of them ever seem to match at the ankles or wrist. And every modder uses his/her own body mesh and if your using a different one the waist has gaps, the ankles/wrist dont match and the clothes/armor/etc have clipping issues. It would be nice if the HGEC had standards for the necks, ankles, wrist and waists. You can do whatever you want in-between but they all have to match at these points. The 'New Manga Body' is a complete package and many of the clothing/armors mods clip badly. Really nice body but not used much as a base model. Also it is not RA or the version I have isnt.

there are to many different feet and hands and other variables for modders to offer a full range of support. i myself prefer to use geechans smaller hands, and i think the foot i am using was modified by growlf to be far more realistic then the hideous hgec stock foot

all anyone can do is give it there best attempt but in the end it is garunteed that someone will have problems

Exactly my point. If the original HGEC body was used as the standard configuration, then any variations should blend together at the critical points. If your talking about Robert's Feet for HGEC by Coronnera, there are some variations it doesn't mesh with well either. If you have a set of feet by Growlf, I'd like to try it. I didnt know he made a set.

Search for "fankaizhi_RY_Body" without the quotes. There should be some 4shared links available.

I'll try to explain this the best I can. Textures are in .dds format, and are generally located in the Textures folder. If you want to replace the skin textures of, say the Imperials, Bretons, and Nords, you want to find footfemale.dds located under oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\imperial\female and replace it with whatever texture you want. Custom races tend to have slightly different texture paths.

Well, I do know how to replace them, but this is only a photoshop file right? It's not a .dds file, so you would have to edit it right? I have no idea just guessing.

It's not a .dds file, so you would have to edit it right?

There are three crucial steps involved in the process of editing a texture:

1) The actual editing takes place in Photoshop (or any other image editing software suitable for a DDS plugin). It's starting out with a base texture, either an existing one or a new one you generate from scratch (which is far more difficult in regards of placement of all the elements).

Adding layers of additional stuff like tattoos, changing colors or mirroring one half of the texture to get a more seamless body are some of the possible and typical edits you can do with such a software. Another important edit is the creation of a normal map by applying the normal map filter. Remember that every object texture needs a normal map of the same file name (with an attached '_n') to make a texture visible in-game! A normal map must be in the same folder as its corresponding texture.

2) Most importantly, the finished work is saved as a texture. Since a texture always consists of one single layer, your Photoshop file's multiple layers have to be merged. Saving it as a DDS converts it to a useable, real texture.

It's a good idea to save the PSD of your texture's final step before merging layers so you can always go back to editing the file again.

In this step you choose your texture's file format depending on its intended purpose: Standard textures are saved as DXT1, textures with an additional alpha channel for transparency effects can be saved as DXT3 or DXT5, normal maps as well - though DXT5's full range of grayscale tones for the alpha channel makes this the preferred format for normal maps.

3) Your finished texture is assigned to a NIF file in NifSkope. This is the step of actual replacement, literally done within seconds.

Open NifSkope, activate the 3D object with the texture to be replaced by clicking on it and look at the column to the left. Expand the 'NiTriStrips' and the 'NiTexturingProperties', click on the purple 'Mana Bloom' icon and browse to the folder where you've saved your newly edited texture. Select it, confirm and save the Nif file. The normal map is applied automatically if in the same folder as your object texture and correctly named.

Budboy, just sign up and be able to download anything from 4shared! All it takes is an email address. It's a free account and might come in handy later whenever you want to upload something yourself without the hassle of splitting up large archives (Mediafire's 200 MB limit!).

Also, I feel your pain. Some forums are like this in China. Before I moved to US, I encountered alot of difficulties trying to find something because that just means that you have to make a account and meet requirements to see forums.
