Fallout 3 Texture Issue

I have no mods but vanilla body textures show up in 'squares' on my characters torso when I equip armor that shows skin.

If you have no mods and no texture replacements or anything else installed then I suggest uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it again.

I did that, I had the same issue.

Which is odd considering I hadn't had this issue prior using the same installer

The issue also occurs on fresh saves

When you say "fresh saves" what are you talking about?

Did you try starting a new game?

Are you sure Fallout 3 is patched and up to date?

Yeah, I meant a completely new game, not a save 'tainted' with prior mods.

The feet also have sort of the same issue.

I'm able to run the lastest version of FOSE, so I'm assuming fallout is up to date.

I've also done all the steps listed in Post #14 of this thread, if that means anything.

Ok, now I am completely confused. You mentioned prior mods.......

When you uninstalled your "previous game" I assume it had mods in it....right? Did you completely clean out the left over files? When you uninstalled fallout it would not have deleted those mods (be they meshes/textures or whatever).

Yes, I use Mod Organizer for my mods, it doesn't add any files to the Game Directory.

It was (is) a completely clean install with a new game.

Well, are you certain that this mod organizer you are using (not personally familiar with that one) doesn't still have you using those mods somehow?

Something seems fishy here. It almost looks like you have some textures install that are for an alternate body (like breezes), thus causing the texture problems.

I was messing around with body mods prior to uninstalling and re-installing the game.

I will uninstall the game again and see if the same issue occurs.

Edit: I've removed every trace of Fallout 3 and Mod Organizer from my system, I'll do a reboot and re-install Fallout 3.

Give me a link for this mod organizer program you are using. My suspicion is that it is pushing the textures on your game without you realizing it.

Well I just re-installed Fallout without Mod Organizer or anything and I'm still having this issue.

Im just assuming my installation discs are debunk?

Did you try installing Fallout to a new location like C:\Games\Fallout 3\ ?

Choose some place that you have not installed Fallout 3 to before. And avoid using mod organizer at all costs for now.

Before reinstalling go in and delete your fallout folder from your my documents folder.

Yeah, I reinstalled to \FO3\ instead of \Fallout 3\ this time around, and did not re-install Mod Manager.

I'll just go play New Vegas. =/

Did you grab the latest patch (unless you have the GOTY version which would already include it)?

Well, the other thing you can try is to grab a body mod from the nexus or elsewhere and install it (I recommend you install one for both the male and female bodies). Then us FOMM to toggle off, then on, several times on your archive invalidation and you should be golden.

Yeah, I own the GOTY version.

I don't really like any of the body mods available/not enough content. So I was really hoping to just edit face textures and use the vanilla body textures -- but then I ran into this issue.
