Companions and MBP

This may have already been asked and if so I apologize as I could not find it by doing a search for it. However I have noticed that for some of the Lovers mods MBP is required. I have other companion mods that deal with races that are included in MBP yet they will not work because it does not have the individual race esp. Is there a way to point the companion mod to mbp so that it will work?:exclamation:

Depending on whether the race actually IS in MBP, you can change the esp listing for the required master in Wyre, right hand side. Don't forget "save" :)

On the other hand, there are *similar* races that aren't the *same* races as those contained in MBP. Sometimes, then, it's hit or miss. For instance, there are a couple "Chocolate Elves" - if you don't have the right one, with the right combo of hairs, eyes, et al, you will have empty eye sockets and bald heads if you do what I just described ;) So, your mileage may vary.

Yep. With the right tools, you can do pretty much anything you want to a mod.

So what is the best tool to remove MPB from a mod? Personally, I'd start with tes4edit.

Tes4edit is a very powerful tool with a somewhat crappy UI. If you haven't used it before, you might find it a bit weird at first.

The process is probably a bit too involved for me write it all out, but I would be happy to help with any questions you have as you go along.

In a nutshell, I would use Tes4edit to add the new esp/esm as a master, update the records in the mod to point to the new esp, and then clean the masters list. Note: Tes4Edit will not load if a required master is missing.
