No AntiAliasing

Hi,

since some weeks Oblivion uses no more AA. Strange thing is, before I had HDR on and forced AA in my driver and it worked.

Now, even if I turn of HDR and Bloom and enable AA (even force it via driver) it doesn't work. Still no AA in game.

Has anyone the same problem or knows how to solve it? Could it be that any mod has screwed and AA isn't possible anymore?

Get Oblivion Graphics Extender. Use MDLAA or Normal AA shader function to get antialiasing. PROFIT!!!!!!

Ok, Kageryus tipp was the step that helped me.

For those with the same problem, here what I did.

For some reason OBGE didn't worked. The readme contained some interesting information about lost AA.

The only solution is to edit the OBGE.ini file in your My Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder and change this line:

[DepthBuffer]

bUseDepthBuffer=1

to:

[DepthBuffer]

bUseDepthBuffer=0

---

Now it works again.

Doesn't disabling the depth buffer disable some effects, like SSAO and the distance blurs?

Good question. That might be, but I dunno really. And if so, its better than not to have AA. I might try, to delete the OBGE.ini and see if the game starts. Maybe its really only a file for the OBGE mod.
