Breakundies Not Re-equipping

On my GF's pc, breakundies has suddenly stopped working properly. She puts on a set of BU armor, it will stay on for about 3 seconds, then automatically "swap" to the correct mesh. However in her case, it only gets removed, not re-equipped, so she's naked. The item is still in inventory, but equipping it again only leads to the same result. This is happening with all the BU sets she tried. The BU settings are correct in the ini, we use the same file and it works fine on my PC. Tried removing BUFramework and making a clean save but that didn't help. Anyone have an idea what else we could try to fix it?
